We didn't go for the atmosphere but for the food. Very nice people working there and the food was great. Well worth stopping in and enjoying. My husband loves chicken livers. He had them grilled and loved them!!

The fried oyster po-boy was one of the best I've ever had - perfectly dressed (and I mean perfect across the board, enough mayo to do the job, crispy shredded lettuce, flavorful tomatoes, REALLY good pickles) and the fried oysters were really nicely seasoned without too much kick. Order it and you'll be just fine. Our waitress was great, excellent service to match her personality, and the atmosphere was exactly what you'd expect it to be... The whole place was great, that's enough superlatives now

Hands down the best catfish in town! The catfish was perfectly crispy, with a clean, fresh taste that’s hard to find these days. The shrimp were delicious, the fried oysters were cooked to perfection, and the okra and fries came out hot and fresh—just the way they should be. A big shoutout to our waitress, Ruthie, who was phenomenal! She took great care of us, making sure we always had plenty of condiments and drink refills. Her attention to detail and warm attitude made the experience even better. Thank you for providing such high-quality food and service. We’ll definitely be back!

Really enjoyed this place. We had been by twice and decided to go somewhere else. However, this is well worth the visit. Clean restaurant. Very fast service. Jaclyn is definitely top-notch with her friendly service. The food was delicious, served hot, and very prompt. In addition, they served an extra portion. MacKenzie was a great server on our 2nd visit. Good food, clean, and great service.

We visited town to spend time with family and we stopped at Sam’s Southern Eatery for lunch. We were pleasantly surprised how tasty and enjoyable everything was. The food was spiced excellently. Fries were amazing! We loved the lemon pepper chicken wings and the fish (plus their burgers) were great! Definitely planning to visit again or at least use the drive-through on our next trip to Ft. Smith.

Sam’s Southern Eatery. Truly delicious food. Just terrific, even the tartar sauce was great. Everything seasoned to perfection, even the green beans. We went with seafood (can order grilled or fried). Incredible crab cakes and Po’boys, steaks, burgers, chicken and a variety of shrimp, fish, oysters, etc. Southern iconic food cooked to perfection and served incredibly fast.
